The great thing about version one of anything is that since you have no idea what you are doing you just write any old junk in an attempt to make it work and find out how it works in reality.

The issue comes when you have to take that knowledge and make the code into something a little more er, professional shall we say.

That’s what I’ve just spent the last few hours doing to my ISPF on the web code. I’d reached a point where I knew pretty much how it all worked, so the choice was to either keep adding code or refactor it so that it was better structured and more easily modifiable.

Well, hopefully a few hours spent now will reap rewards later on!
