I’ve come across DITA before but had forgotten about it until our doc guy mentioned it today. A quick search indicates it supports some sort of conditional processing so maybe I should be looking at this instead of Drupal, especially since it is a) an IBM initiative and b) in use in house!
So I might be changing horses mid stream here, but that’s OK in my book. The aim is to figure out how this works from a consumer point of view. I have no problem with changing the technology in use if a better or more appropriate one comes along. Sometimes we get stuck on the technology in use and not the reason for it in the first place, which is to create a useful tool for the end user.
